Today is C.S. Lewis' 110th Birthday: What will he be remembered for?

His unique fusion of an academic profession along with concern for students and fellow Christians: his sci-fi trilogy is way more interesting than his Narnia Chronicles (they are done as a kind of dumbed down Middle Earth series a la his peer-friend J.R.R. Tolkien). He also completed a serious work on ENGLISH LITERATURE IN THE 16th CENTURY as well as Christian apologetic masterpieces (Miracles, The Problem of Pain, The Great Divorce). . .
